Thank You!!!

A lot of people have been asking what they can do to help us specifically. Now that Skylar is gone, we are able to go out as a couple together, which is bitter sweet. Any type of gift card would be great so that we can go out to eat or go on a date together. Our church is still accepting tax-deductible donations to our family if you want to give directly to us (details on the left).

We have a great support system between our church, friends and family. Despite the difficult grieving process, which I am convinced no one really knows what that process actually is, we are doing as good as can be expected. We are still going to fight this disease, even though it is too late for Skylar. We are going to be working with two organizations in the future to help raise awareness and research money in hopes of finding a cure before any more babies are born with this horrible disease.

If you would like to get involved with us to help fight SMA, we now have a GA Chapter of Families of SMA and we could always use volunteers to help plan events, get sponsors, work events, etc. The Hope & Light Foundation is also based out of Atlanta and would appreciate any volunteer work or financial donations as well. Both are great organizations and we hope you will join us in the fight. SMA is supposedly the genetic disease closest to a cure. We hope this is true and that a cure will be found soon for all of the babies and families who receive this life-changing diagnosis.

We feel so blessed by Skylar's life and I am sure we will continue to be amazed how her life has truly put the "hands and feet" of Christ in motion. Thank you to everyone who has helped in some way, whether it be financially, bringing us meals, encouraging us, through friendship and/or praying for us. We hope that you will be blessed as well.
